Thanks to the convenience of the world wide web, you can learn all about ENCOM industrial and municipal wireless communication systems — without leaving your office, without devoting a full day, without trying to tax your company’s travel budget. As part of our commitment to empowering our customers, ENCOM offers webinars, or online seminars, to teach the finer points of wireless networks.
The curriculum, as always, is tailored to the customer’s needs. For brevity’s sake, we take our full-day training modules — which range from wireless trends, a wireless standards overview, and ControlPAK software all the way up to radio link engineering, installation and testing, network design and bandwidth management — and break them down into bite-sized chunks of 40 to 60 minutes.
ENCOM’s webinars are a little less structured than our regional on-site training seminars. They can be highly organized, or they can be ad-libbed. They can be organized with one customer or 20. And because of the personal atmosphere in a small-group situation, there’s more potential for advanced knowledge. Webinars also provide a perfect setting for a refresher course on the operation of our ControlPAK software, allowing our customers to maximize their efficiency during installation and commissioning of their ENCOM wireless system. One of the most effective ways for ENCOM to empower its customers is by offering on-site training. At ENCOM, we’ve always said Wireless is Simple. After signing up for our training sessions, from the basics of wireless communication through to advanced system design and installation understanding, we think you’ll be saying it too. ENCOM’s on-site training sessions can be tailored to specific customer requirements — network design, configuration, software and hands-on training for advanced wireless users, right down to the fundamentals for those who are relatively new to the industry.
We don’t just tutor our end-users in the finer points of wireless networks. We also organize sessions for the electricians and contractors who install our systems, the engineering consultants who design them, and the city engineers and municipal managers who operate them.
ENCOM’s on-site training sessions are nominally broken out into modules, ranging from wireless trends and a wireless standards overview all the way up to radio link engineering, installation and testing. Seminars also include IP network design, bandwidth management and optimization for mission critical video and voice applications.
However, our curriculum is always determined by the customer’s requirements — and that’s why we have full-day (eight-hour), half-day (four-hour) and lunch-and-learn (60-minute) seminars available. How does ENCOM manage its on-site training calendar? We work with the members of our extensive distributor network to organize regular seminars in each region — and occasionally set up training sessions on our own, around the continent, for customers or potential customers who want to take part.
