Technical Sales Representative : Canada, US, and Mexico


Job Description


Responsible for generating sales with existing customers and developing opportunities with new customers within an assigned territory. This position reports directly to the VP, Sales and Marketing.

Job Duties

Scheduling appointments and visiting existing and new customers to review product needs and determining other opportunities

These should be done by inside sales and reviewed by business development for accuracy and completeness.

Organizing and attending joint sales calls with Dealers

Meeting with and opening new accounts

Continuously updating customers on product enhancements and modifications.

Providing solutions to customers’  needs

Attending Trade Shows and Conferences

Recommend trade shows to be attended. Tracking and coordinating should be done by inside sales for consistency.

Product introduction of new releases.

Liaising between customers and the company for up-to-date status of service, pricing and new product release launches

Preparing reports such as but not limited to; trip approvals, budgets, post trip reports expense reports

Entering, maintaining and updating of customers’ CRM data; notes, opportunity and tasks for existing and prospective customers

Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and departmental meetings

Provide market research to product development on up and coming technology needs of our customers.

Other duties as assigned:

Office/Administrative Duties

Travel within a defined territory as required – expectation of 5-10 days each month

Work within the Calgary office 8:00-4:30 Monday through Friday (when not traveling)

Daily updates of sales related tasks within CRM and Microsoft Outlook

Regular daily/monthly regimen of prospecting phone calls documented within CRM

Respond to requests for quotation and tenders as required

Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, other common office equipment and software

Follow company policies and procedures
