Model 5171 (RS-232 & FSK)

The ENCOM Model 5171 is for easy use with ALL 170 Traffic Controllers. This is due to the fact that the ENCOM Model 5171 provides both RS-232 and 2-4 Wire FSK interfaces and is designed to plug directly into the 400 modem slot in the 170 Controller. The ENCOM Model 5171 eliminates the need for data cables and external power supplies, making it extremely convenient and easy to use. Designed for simple integration into existing twisted pair copper communication networks. Applications include: 170 Controller “Last-mile” FSK Link, 170 Controller FSK Bridge Link.

Configuration of the ENCOM Model 5171 is simple and straight forward, with the included Windows™ based “plug and play” software. The 170 Controller interconnect application includes a prebuilt, pretested application file. This allows "plug and play" setup for your specific controller.
