Model 5200 (RS-232) Shelf-Mount Transceiver with Serial Interface

The ENCOM Model 5200 is a cost-effective radio modem that provides RS-232 connectivity to a wide variety of traffic control devices. The 5200 contains one Serial (RS-232 or RS-485) interface and contains all of the powerful features ENCOM is known for.

The Model 5200 is available in a stand-alone shelf mount unit (t200-S) and 170/TS1/TS2 detector rack version (5200-R).

The 5200 is compatible with all other 5000 series radios allowing wireless network configurations that may include a mixture of RS-232 and FSK communications. Combine different products to obtain the most value from the wireless interconnect system. Applications include: Point-to-multipoint RS-232 interconnect systems, Fiber-optic “last mile” links, bridge broken fiber lines, communications with VMS (variable message signs), and RS-232 detector communications.

Configuration of the ENCOM Model 5200 is simple and straightforward, using the provided Windows based “plug and play” software. For standard traffic interconnect applications, a wide range of prebuilt and pretested application files are included, allowing "plug-and-play" setup for your specific controllers. Most major controller manufacturer's products and third party applications are represented.
