SERIAL RADIOS – Serial and FSK

The ENCOM 5000 Series of industrial serial radio modems has been specifically designed to provide robust, reliable performance in Traffic interconnect applications. With thousands of deployments world wide, ENCOM has a reputation for delivering quality wireless solutions in tough urban environments. Our Serial radios provide up to 115Kbps data rate at distances of up to 60 miles (LOS). Point-to-Multipoint networks are quickly and easily deployed with user friendly ControlPAK software. All of our radios can be configured as a master, repeater, or remote radio, providing endless flexibility for installations. Optimal radio operation is guaranteed using downloadable “drivers” for all applications, ensuring compatibility.

ENCOM serial radios provide gauranteed ‘plug and play’ operation with all type 170 / 2070 and NEMA TS-1/ TS-2 traffic controllers along with all central control software and closed-loop systems. ENCOM radios connect directly to the traffic controllers and provide a transparent and reliable wireless closed loop connection.

ENCOM wireless interconnect (serial) systems have been used to provide city-wide interconnect to all the on-street controllers. Wireless Bridge Links (Broken Fibre or Copper Connections)

ENCOM Wireless radios can be used to “bridge” broken copper or fiber connections. Whether you know where the break is and just need a temporary solution until it can be fixed, or you would just like a permanent bridge, ENCOM radios will work for you. ENCOM offers three models of radio that can be used to bridge fiber, allowing for maximum system flexibility allows the user to bridge broken fiber/ copper by offering different interfaces – enabling seamless integration into the existing system.
